11 We are what we consume
There are sayings to express the importance of food. We often hear “We are what we eat” or “we are what we consume.”
Healing and meditation work for your healthful life. At the same time, it is essential to consider what we take in our body because it will be our physical body. We do not want the food to damage our health, but we want it to enhance our health.
Here is a simple list what we can reconsider.
Eat more vegetable and fruits
A human body is designed to eat vegetable and fruits. I suggest doing a quick research on the structure of teeth and digestive organ compared with other animals. Our body is clearly created as more vegetarian than a meat eater.
Less or none processed food
Processed foods contain artificial products. There are merit and demerit about it. Everybody has a different opinion, but let’s think simply. We want to eat something which has grown from the earth with a lot of sunlight and natural rain. We do not want to eat something which is produced by a machine with artificial ingredients.
Drink more water
The first thing you can do to be healthy is drinking water. For some reasons, it should not be tap-water but natural water. We need water to synchronize our body system and also releases body wastes outside of your body. It is said that 60% – 70% of the human body is water, so we understand how important it is.
Less or none animal products
Do you eat meat, poultry or fish? If so, it is worth considering if you really need to consume the animal products. It may be a good idea to ask your body if you need to eat animal products. Most of the people consume them because it is their habit or custom. Try eating less meat for a month. Your body will honestly answer to you.
Eat small portions more than five times a day
We all have an experience of overeating. It is not good for our body and mind. If our body is designed as more like vegetarian, then, let’s eat small portion separately in a day. You feel more energetic and have a sharp stable mind.
Those who have been practicing these five things, I am sure healing and meditation benefit you more.
Needless to say, smoking is bad. It is better not to drink alcohol. Walking with a correct posture is another key to keep our body system synchronize. Meditation, before you sleep, gives you good quality sleep.
